Many countries around the world have beautiful city skylines – from various angles and taken at different building. Was at a bar on Level 71 today and took this photo of Singapore skyline before sunset. Loves being on high buildings/grounds and view the city skyline, makes the area looks vast and endless.
There are heaps of high rise buildings, probably not in skyscraper standard, around Singapore. One new thing that I am starting to try this year is to go around the top of various buildings to see Singapore skyline in a new angle – bird eye view. With the cars appearing like dots, it just tells us how small and insignificant we are compared to mother earth.
Of course, dining at these semi-fine dining restaurants and sky bars are pricey. Can’t do it too often at this point of my life. Definitely a good option for special occasions. There are just so many of such restaurants and bars around which boast to show excellent Singapore skyline. It is definitely an experience to visit at least once in a lifetime.
Guess I developed a greater interest after visiting Auckland Skytower twice to see the Auckland skyline, and probably more commonly the New Zealand skyline. Visited the Sydney tower to view too and love it. And countless hill tops restaurants and cruises during my travels. The experience being high up there feels like ‘on top of the world’.
There are heaps of photographers who take excellent photos of these skyline and share them in internet. Mine idiot-proof Sony camera can’t capture that beauty. Even if those images fade in my mind, the feeling of being up there, dining at those restaurants and enjoying a gorgeous city skyline views will stay with me for the longest time.
